Prophetstown State Park is Indiana's newest state park, located at the meeting point of the Tippecanoe River and the Wabash River near Battle Ground, northeast of Lafayette. The park's landscape has been shaped by natural forces and human hands over thousands of years. Visitors can explore 1920s farm life, Native American culture, and 900 acres of restored prairie through a unique partnership with The Farm at Prophetstown.
The park offers various trails for hiking and biking, ranging from easy to moderate levels of difficulty. The trails wind through tallgrass prairies, shaded paths along Harrison Creek, and floodplain forests, providing stunning views of the surrounding natural habitats. The park is also home to wetlands, fens, and open woodlands that are being restored to their native state.
Named after a Native American village established by Tecumseh and his brother Tenskwatawa in 1808, Prophetstown State Park holds historical significance as a meeting place for various tribes to unite against westward settlement. The park's Visitor Center is open daily, offering information about the park's history and natural features. The Aquatic Center is seasonal, and admission includes entrance to The Farm at Prophetstown.
Whether exploring the park's trails, learning about Native American culture, or enjoying a picnic in the meadows, visitors to Prophetstown State Park are sure to have a memorable experience in this beautiful natural setting.

Reviews
"Nice place for a picnic with the family with accommodations for bicycles. Easy paths to walk and take your family dog(s). Beautiful scenery where the Indians lived and a family farm right out of a history book from the 1920's. Very interesting. Very fun to go through and reminisce."
"We loved camping here. Beautiful park. Even in the chilly months we loved it. Clean bathrooms and the trails for walking and riding bikes are wonderful. We can't wait to plan another trip"
"First time today, wanted to take advantage of the cooler weather. I hiked trails 3 and 4 and they were beautiful. The restoration going on along trail 4 is cool; seems like there's native plantings going on in strips and between them is kept mowed, presumably to allow the native plants to get going. I got a little turned around so I ended up taking the paved trail back to where I parked. Loved the paved trail, lots of people out and about. I will definitely return to check out the rest of the park. Looks like they have a part of the park showing how the indigenous peoples who resided there lived. Not very many benches along 4 unfortunately. I just plopped down on the ground to rest. I appreciate the cutouts to overlook the water along trail 4 as well. Lovely park! It's apparently the newest Indiana State Park, established in 2004, definitely will return!"
"We rode about 30 miles on our bikes over 5 days, and the bike trail is awesome. The farm is really neat, especially for kids. The aquatic center was great. The hiking trails are well kept and clearly marked. All the staff was very friendly."
"This is our second year camping here. Camp sites with full hook ups and lots of shade (be sure to read site descriptions) and level. We biked 9 miles this morning on blacktop trails in the park. Great playground for the kids."
