"Panicked with a dead laptop and low funds yesterday, I was on my way to the “Geek Squad” fearing the worst and dreading the fast-talking high tech sales pitch, when I happened to see a big Armor Computer Repair Shop sign from the bus. Um…well its worth a try. In reroute I stepped into what felt like an old castle on Lincoln Highway and was met with the most incredible team of friendly, helpful professionals. I loved the red sandstone vibes and overall unpretentious atmosphere immediately! I was instantly relieved as Nick at the desk talked so quietly and straight forward and didn’t try to over “tech” me with terms I did not understand. Within minutes I sighed with relief when he explained – “simple driver problem – 45 bucks (will call first for approval if over quote) – AND will have it done by end of day.” Whoa! When I returned to pick up my perfectly repaired laptop – in comes Jeromy. To my delight, Jeromy was another amazing professional, customer focused, and extremely proficient in his field. We briefly talked about the holidays and the history of the building, as I browsed the shop. I was not expecting help with realizing a goal I thought was out of my reach of a home desktop and monitor. Noting a display, I inquired for a possible future purchase, and he showed me in depth, an all-in-one Dell system on sale from left over Black Fridays stock. He offered me the sale price (even though it was past the date) which was easily in my budget. I bought it and he delivered it to my home within 30 minutes. It runs smoothly and set up was five minutes. People – if you need honest, no hype help with computers, phones, etc., you have to try this unique group! I honestly feel as if I discovered a diamond in the rough within my own backyard! Thank you Armor and happy holidays!"

"Knowledgeable staff who kept in close contact regarding computer repair issues. As someone who works with electronics a great deal but doesn't have the time much anymore, I appreciated being spoken to as a person with knowledge rather than like a "tech support customer" for lack of a better phrase. Prices were reasonable for the parts and labor and they were honest about repair vs replace and time and effort to fix. They also offer an electronics disposal service (or did when I was last there) for easier removal of old monitors or printers or hardware, TVs, etc."

"Dropped my PS5 off because it was overheating, the tech then told me it was a simple fix & would be back in a couple of days so I paid the extra rush fee so it could be seen faster. A few days later I called because I had not heard from anybody & they informed me that they ordered a wrong part & the new one would be in in a few days. I called back a few days later for an update & they informed me that the previous diagnosis was not right & it needed a completely new part & I was better off buying a new system. Once I got home I realized that they did not pack my controller or power cord so I call to ask for it & Nicholas assures me that he packed everything himself & it should be there I retort by saying only the system is in there & he proceeds to assure me everything is there 5 minutes later he calls me back & says the power cord is actually still at the shop like I had told him it was but there was no sign of the controller. Upset I return back to the store to grab the cord but no sign of the controller. Once I get back home I turn the console on & it’s way worse than before it’s overheating simply by just being turned on which it never did before. I call Nicholas back & explain to him that they broke it & he proceeds to tell me that that has nothing to do with him & that everything checked out before they gave it to me so basically I’m out of luck. I ask if I can get a discount if I let them fix it again & he said I will basically have to pay for a whole new console & I ask him if there is anyway I can buy the part & have them put it on since I already spent 80$ for them to just tell me there is nothing they can do with & he says no I will have to pay full. Please do not give your business to Armor tech they are incompetent workers & have been giving me a run around with no straight answer all week just to give my console back broken. Ubreakufix on sycamore is a better establishment."
