Child Development and Family Center

Center for black studies
The Center for Black Studies at Northern Illinois University, located at 621 West Lincoln Highway in DeKalb, Illinois, is a school dedicated to promoting excellence and engagement in teaching, learning, research, scholarship, artistry, and outreach within the African American community and the African diaspora. Established in 1971, the Center conducts research on the experiences of people of African descent and offers a minor in Black Studies.
