The park also offers picnic shelters, baseball fields, restroom facilities, a roller hockey rink, and a sled hill. Due to construction, the picnic shelter is currently not available for rent. However, visitors can still enjoy the many recreational activities and facilities at Armstrong Park. The park is also known for its KidsWorld playground, which was redesigned in 2016 to retain its original charm and features. Additionally, the park is home to a colony of Purple Martins and historical landmarks such as the Gretna Station and Caboose.
