"I had a fire at a duplex I own. The city of Rockford required me to have the ducts cleaned and then treated in a way that would neutralize any sort of carcinogenetic material. RESTORx said they would be able to do it and assured me their best guy would be the one doing the work. Once the work was completed the city came back out to inspect and had questioned if the work had been done at all. I talked to Steve Gitz and he went back out there see for himself. Once he saw it he was very apologetic and expressed that he was embarrassed that it happened this way. He assured me they would go out again and make sure it was done right. They were finally able to complete the job and the city begrudgingly approved it. I was happy it was done but then they offered no discount for my time lost or inconvenience. Steve said all the right things but when it came time to make it right financially they fell short. I highly recommend any one who uses them to check their work before paying them."

"We had a slowly leaking dishwasher that ended up with the need to completely tear out the kitchen flooring and all of the cabinetry and counter top. We are some distance from their home base but they could not have been more responsive, even coming over to stand by us while the adjuster visited, pointing out items of damage to the insurance company that I would have overlooked. Their work was prompt and amazing. The folks doing the quartz counter top installation after Restorx had installed the base cabinets asked who did that portion of the work. They said they normally need to use shims but that these were perfectly level and plumb. The workmanship was simply remarkable and I would not hesitate to use them again or to recommend them to family and friends needing such work. Thanks for all you did for us!"

"RestorX, along with Gitz-Meier Remodeling has done outstanding work for our family for over 40 years. They built us a beautiful large kitchen from a former living room and completely remodeled 2 full bathrooms. They also put a new roof on our large farm house and put siding on. You would have to see the house to really appreciate the beauty. The detail was extraordinary. It wasn't just plain siding with plain trim around the windows. The project included keeping the beautiful aspects of the original house and siding in mind. We often receive compliments on the beautiful job and I still love looking at the intricate work done by the carpenters every time I look at the house. The carpenters are masters at their work. They gave us very valuable suggestions as they worked, letting us take advantage of their experience. RestorX has helped us in time of disaster and almost panic. It was an extremely cold evening a few years ago. I came into the house after finishing up our cattle chores, only to find it "raining" in my kitchen!! Water was pouring out of the ceiling fan. I immediately called RestorX. They came out promptly and determined quickly we had a frozen water pipe that broke. They proceded to dry the ceiling, floor and cabinets. We were able to save the cabinets. The hardwood floor had to be refinished, which was done by Gitz-Meier Remodeling. It looked more beautiful than it had ever before! The ceiling had to be replaced as well as all the painting. Again the carpenters were efficient and did an extremely good job (I am very fussy about painting and finishes). The finished plastering job was very smooth with no cracks in it. RestorX also helped us out when we had a flood in our finished basement. They sent men out to dry things out right away. I really can't say enough good things about this company. The entire team is very professional from the designing ideas to the planning and execution of the jobs. We couldn't be more pleased and highly recommend this company for any remodeling job or restoration project you might have."

"We had cedar siding, windows and door replaced on a part of a 2-story house. Overall, we were happy with the quality of work and the professionalism and knowledge of the workers. The foreman returned calls timely as we had to make arrangements on numerous occasions. Even though their bid was higher than others we received, we choose Gitz-Meier because of their reputation, they returned calls and the manner of the foreman. There were two occurrences in which both the windows and siding were measured incorrectly. We had to wait weeks longer on two separate occasions for replacements. That’s fine, mistakes happen. No acknowledgment of the inconvenience to us, amending the problem or apologies were made. The person doing the measurements up front was not the same person as was doing the work. We would hire them again."
