The St. Celestine Athletic Committee, located at 3017 North 77th Avenue in Elmwood Park, Illinois, is part of the St. Celestine Catholic School. With over 80 years of Catholic education, the Athletic Program aims to provide students with instructional and competitive sports options to complement their academic development. Participants learn the fundamentals of each sport, develop strong minds and bodies, and cultivate good sportsmanship and team spirit. The Athletic Committee, led by President Joseph Luciano and Athletic Director Haley Devitt, oversees all school-affiliated sports activities for children in the school. Coaches are volunteers who undergo background checks and training before coaching. The program emphasizes the development of the whole person, focusing on religious, moral, social, academic, and physical growth. Competitive teams start in 4th grade, with playing time based on skills and teamwork in 7th and 8th grade. Parents are expected to volunteer for service hours, and fundraising events are held throughout the year to support the athletic program.
