"To sit in an already long line to find out this place doesn’t accept cash and have to wait in a long line to get out of the drive thru is the reason for my review. I cant get think of another fast food place in the United States that doesn’t accept United States currency"

"Such a fun fast moving experience compared to the traditional Portillo's. Easy to get in and out. Easily marked for where online delivery people can pick up food. Staff inside and out are as friendly as the staff in Shorewood. When you do the drive-thru be sure to check out the race car. The food is served perfectly hot, and a milkshake is the perfect milkshake. Have your type of payment ready to not slow down the pace of the drive-thru. When I am in the area this is now a must have stop for me. Oh this is not a drive-thru for big vehicles like a big rig."

"I ordered a big beef and there was barely any meat, the meat looked pink and uncooked and there was a piece of hair in it. I called and spoke with the manager Jesse who offered them to make me a new 1 if I came back but why would I want a repeat of this?? He offered a refund which I'm still waiting on but I've never had this happen at portillos and honestly it turned me off completely. I would've liked to hear there would be training and they'll make sure everyone has on hairnets so this doesn't happen to anyone again. He didn't really seem to care much about the business succeeding."

"My youngest son and I went here (drive thru) on a Saturday night. We ordered two spicy chicken sandwiches, two large fries, and a cheeseburger. What we received were two chicken sandwiches, two heavily salted fries (that went to the garbage), and bun with cheese and other condiments. Yes, there was no burger patty (please see the image enclosed there’s absolutely no evidence of a hot burger patty touching anything). I couldn’t believe it. Imagine telling your 8yrs old child he had no burger or none of the fries were edible. I called the restaurant. The young lady who answered the phone could care less about the fries being too salty and said they’ll refund the cheeseburgers cost (haven’t received credit yet probably have to callback). Absolutely, no other apology nor compensation for the inconvenience. Unbelievable, unappreciated, and unacceptable especially for Portillos."

"My bf & I ordered a lot of food today at Portillo’s - Bacon burger, Fries, Chicken tenders, Italian beef, hot dog & a chocolate cake slice w/ a Vanilla Shake & Root Beer. The cashier guy and window lady were super friendly and helped us with our order quickly. I would definitely go back and visit again! :))"
