"Wow what a nice surprise for cocktails, food and atmosphere on Michigan Ave. I've given up on Michigan Ave South of Washington years ago. Too congested, too touristy, no bang for my buck. But surprisingly this hit the spot for a nice meal before a show at the Auditorium. Rabbit confit nice surprise, Lambrusco by the glass added to the surprise and the candle lit atmosphere reminded me of a nice quaint Italian family restaurant in Italy. The noise level was good so conversation among my group was easy. The waiter knew we had a show to catch and was attentive and respectful of time. I will be back"

"We walked in on a Saturday afternoon, we did not have a reservation but were seated very quickly. Service was very fast. We started with the bruschetta di funghi as an appetizer. I am very picky & mushroom dishes are either hit or miss because of the texture. This bruschetta was delicious. I am vegetarian so I had the risotto of the day which was delicious (red pepper & parm), it was perfect. My partner had the rigatoni and so say that it was a little bland. I had the southern Versailles cocktail and it was very good. Would definitely be back, the service was great and the place was very cute. It’s smaller inside than I thought, but a lot more space outside if you don’t mind sitting out there. Probably recommends reservations around busy hours. Overall very pleased."

"Had a wonderful dinner at Acanto. We started with the bruschetta and arancini. For my entree I ordered the rigatoni followed by the tiramisu for dessert. Our whole meal was delicious and we will definitely return! The restaurant was accommodating to my peanut and nut allergy as well- they changed out the pesto sauce on the arancini to accommodate my allergy."

"The lobster fusilli changed my life, it was incredible and the best Italian dish I've ever had! I'm still thinking about it. The oyster appetizer was tasty, the atmosphere is intimate and cozy, and the service was great. Perfect for a date night! Highly highly recommend, if I could give more than 5 stars, I would!"

"My wife and I ate at Acanto tonight and we had a mixed experience. The appetizer of scallops was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. My main dish of rabbit leg was also very good with the pairing of vegetables adding much to the overall flavor profile. However, my wife’s lobster fusilli was way overcooked. The pasta was soft to the point of lacking texture. We had the dish remade but there was still an issue with consistency. Half of the remade fusilli was firmer but the rest was just as soft. But I will commend the manager Dan for handling the situation and taking care of our bill. He was very professional and even referred us to their sister restaurant the Gage. I gave the overall restaurant 5 stars for their quality service despite the food quality control issues."
