"We walked up on this restaurant on our way back from the river dyeing. We caught the initial dyeing on the river and then decided to go find a restaurant before they were all full and we would not be able to get in. Best restaurant was actually located on the same street or hotel was on just a few blocks north. What caught our attention was the window seats available that had a good view of the city. Also we were able to catch a glance of the food being served by some of the people eating inside already, so we thought we'd give it a shot. We asked for a table for four, we were greeted and seated immediately. The only scary thing was we were taken through the restaurant down the hallway to what appeared to be the very back of the restaurant. There were some table set up with a private bar. It was hard to determine whether we were being isolated or treated like VIP, lol. Either way the service was excellent, the food was different but very very good and we enjoyed ourselves very much. What I was hoping for was a window seat to enjoy our meal and watch the crowds from St Patty's Day go by. There really isn't anything negative I can say about this visit. We started off with the spicy chicken soup and the Parker House rolls which were very good. We then continued to our main meals. Keep in mind this was a limited brunch menu that they had for St Patty's Day. My brother had the fried chicken, my Comadre had the All-American breakfast, I had the salmon Florentine Benedict and the wife had the pork carnitas chilaquiles. Absolutely delicious. Very different. Meals were very well served with great presentation. I recommend getting here early because the place was extremely full when we left about an hour later."
"Exceptional experience at Dearborn in Chicago. The ambiance was inviting, with a cozy yet modern atmosphere. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who were knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations. As for the food, every dish was a masterpiece of flavor and presentation, showcasing the chef's skill and dedication to quality ingredients. From the appetizers to the main course and dessert, each bite was a delight!"
"Okay, so yes the prices are expensive but being in Chicago it’s very standard. We came here to celebrate a special occasion. They gave us free champagne. Service was superb. The whole restaurant looked classy. I recommend setting up a reservation just in case. We ordered the Midwest fried chicken and the Dearborn burger. The fried chicken was crispy, flavorful from the buttermilk and maple/mustard glaze, and a slight heat from the hot sauce. You have to try it at least once. The burger was easily one of my favorites and I had a lot of burgers. I ordered it medium rare so the meat just melted into my mouth. Meat was great quality. The Wisconsin cheddar and the special sauce increased the overall delish scale."
"The fish and chips were definitely the highlight paired with the Japanese curry. The meze plate was also a great appetizer. The burger Wellington and the Midwest fried chicken were average. Chicken was a little dry and the sauces weren't memorable. Brussels sprouts were good but a bit bitter. Service could have been more attentive as there were long stretches of time where our server wasn't around. Overall pretty average for the price and location."
"The food, the drinks, the service, the ambiance...all fantastic! It was just a short walk from our hotel at Cambria so we decided to give it a try. For my entree I ordered the Dearborn Burger and it was so delicious. I ended up eating the whole thing and paid for it big time later but it was so delicious. They charged $5 to add bacon and $2 to add onions which was pricey! Now the drinks were good as well. I really liked the peaches, peaches, peaches cocktail & their take on the Bramble was fine. It was my birthday and they did a complimentary dessert with a candle. Our server was very attentive and funny. Great experience. Oh, also...we made reservations for 7:30pm or somewhere around that but arrived 30 minutes before. We were seated right away. I would still make a reservation just for times sake but it seems that if you walk in with a small party, you can get seated pretty quickly."
