Bark Park, located at 280 Kuhn Road in Carol Stream, Illinois, is a popular tourist attraction for dog lovers and their furry companions. This off-leash dog park features separate play areas for large and small dogs, complete with agility equipment for them to enjoy. Visitors can park at Volunteer Park off Kuhn Road or at the motel just west of the park off North Avenue. Please remember to bring your own water for your pets as there is no water available at the park. Membership is required to access the Bark Park, with annual passes available for purchase. Residents of Carol Stream must also have their dogs licensed by the Village and DuPage County. Proof of inoculation is required to apply for a dog license, which can be purchased at the same time as a Bark Park pass. Rates are per household with a maximum of 3 dogs allowed. Those who do not follow park rules may be asked to leave by the Carol Stream Park District. Named after astronaut Neil Armstrong, the park features various amenities such as lighted ball fields, playgrounds, an in-line skate rink, sand volleyball and basketball courts. Visitors can explore the historic Gretna Station and Caboose, walk the trails around the reservoir to Lake George and Balog Island, home to a colony of Purple Martins.
