H&R Block

"Maria my tax preparation agent was great. Quiet but got everything done. Really nice lady. The person at the front desk greets everyone different. I got " yea, what's up"? When I walked in. But everybody else got hello welcome to H&R block. Someone should tell her, treat everyone the same."

"I went today in the morning to this branch to ask for service, there were a guy and a woman working. After I explained the guy what service I need it he started to complaint in Spanish to the other co-worker about the amount of work he needed to do and that we (Customers) all expect miracles in a tone of voice very high because the two employees thought I didn’t understand Spanish at all. The woman came to me asking in English thinking I only speak English and she was surprised I asked her questions in Spanish and English before I left most feeling like been kicked out. Even after that she never apologize about what her co-worker said. Extremely rude and poor service, it shows the lack of professionalism and education from the people working that day. I don’t recommend this place, in 17 years living in this country never felt so insulted by a person in public. There need to be some coaching here because customers are not always right but deserve respect like every human in this world."

"Unfortunately this is the second year with a poor experience at an H&R Block. I accompanied my mother to get her taxes done both years and I am in awe at how incompetent the preparers have been on both occasions at two different locations. To focus on this last experience at this location, we were told by the preparer he wasn’t equipped to handle her return. My mother has a W2 and 1099G. Pretty basic. He got stuck on insurance questions and couldn’t get past it. He kept repeating the same thing over and over (this was the case with several questions we had, “I don’t work at IRS, I don’t work for Marketplace”, why are we paying a professional who can’t answer simple questions?). Not to mention he was running late, we were called in advanced to let us know (which helps, at least with expectation). We get there at the time they requested after letting us know he’s late and still had to wait an additional 10-15 min. This wasn’t a huge deal, just added to the whole ordeal. I can’t forget to mention though the receptionist was ok and we are glad she called to let us know they would be late she repeatedly took her mask off while we were there. I understand you take it off to drink or eat but she was on the phone while taking it off. I won’t include the name of the preparer or receptionist but I do hope HR Block invests more in training their preparers better and gives them the tools to do their job. Very disappointed in the entire experience."

She is always friendly. She explains whatever I need until I understand, that is very important to me."
