Johnny's Italian Steakhouse

"We visited Johnny's Italian Steakhouse in Peoria on Tuesday night for a family birthday celebration. Six of us were present, eager to enjoy a delicious meal and good company. Overall, the service was excellent! Our server was very attentive and friendly. However, the evening took an unfortunate turn when several of us experienced food poisoning symptoms starting Wednesday night and lasting through Thursday. It's important to note that only those who had seafood dishes (Angel Hair Shrimp, Wood Plank Salmon, and Scallops) became ill. The two of us who had steak felt perfectly fine. While I know sources of food poisoning can be ambiguous at times, the timing and pattern strongly suggest an issue with the seafood preparation or handling. To the management of Johnny's Italian Steakhouse, I urge you to investigate this matter thoroughly to ensure the safety and well-being of your patrons. Perhaps implementing stricter hygiene protocols or reviewing seafood sourcing practices could help prevent similar occurrences in the future. While the service was commendable, the food poisoning incident casts a shadow on our experience. We hope this feedback is taken seriously and used to improve the overall dining experience."

"I was at jonnys for a birthday get together with a party of 18. Jonnys accommodated perfectly. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The service was very good. Chicken piccata was my entree It came with salad and I chose baked potato. The food came out hot fresh and the presentation was nice. It was a nice dinner."

"This restaurant located inside the Holiday Inn were I was staying for business. I ordered the Johnny’s Chanel No. 5 and it was phenomenal! Very well prepared and just a perfect meal. It came with a house salad and bread so it’s a lot of food for what you pay. I’ve read reviews about the pricing but you pay for what you get and my experience was perfect. My server/ bartender was Melissa and she made my experience better with her knowledge of the menu and attentiveness to my stay. Atmosphere is also 5 stars and see you all soon when I return."

"Had a group of 15 for a birthday celebration. Arrived at 5pm and didn’t leave until 8pm. It was a disaster to say the least. I ordered prime rib medium rare and came out well done. Just about everyone else’s meal was wrong as well. Mark, the manager, came over one time to apologize and make things right… he never came back. The poor waitress had to try and help but it wasn’t her fault. This was the second time in three years that we came here with a group for a birthday and both times were bad, this time was the worst. Not going to ever come here again"
