"If you are a busy family who cannot afford $200 fees I really suggest you go elsewhere for care. IFC does not put the child first. We started going to IFC in 2021 and had a great relationship with Emily since then. The office staff was great as well and super responsive when I had questions or needed to change an appointment. At the end of 2022 there were a lot of policy changes that made it extremely difficult to change appointments or cancel. The office has a 48 hour cancellation policy and a $200 fee if you cancel after the 48hours. We missed an appointment because of a miscommunication and were charged $200. I sent SEVERAL emails and called(no response) and was repeatedly told there was nothing they could do and I was just out of luck because of a simple mistake. As a FAMILY therapist I think IFC should operate the business with care and compassion for the busy lives of kids and parents. 48 hr cancellation policy is ridiculous. The office seems to care much much more about the money and not the patients. A $200 fee is not inclusive of families with different incomes specially when they are actually paid $145~ from insurance. The office actually profits if you late cancel or miss an appointment."
