The Blackbird Academy of Irish Dance, located at 9500 South Avers Avenue in Evergreen Park, Illinois, has been teaching the art of Irish dance in the south suburbs of Chicago since 1995. Our dedicated team of instructors, led by Eileen O'Neill TCRG, Mary McQuillan, and Stephanie (Hughes) Gallagher, along with former World Champion Michael Holland TCRG, strive to provide a fun and competitive environment for both boys and girls to learn and excel in Irish dance. At Blackbird Academy, we aim to promote the rich tradition of Irish dance through performances and competitions. Our students participate in a variety of events, including Gaelic Park's Ireland on Parade, Irish Fest on Memorial Day weekend, and the Tinley Park St. Patrick's Day Parade. They also compete in local feiseanna as well as prestigious competitions such as the Mid-America Oireachtas, North American Championships, All Ireland Championships, and World Championships, where they have achieved numerous trophies and medals.
