"**Update - business has closed! Many customers put money down, and Jim accepted payments knowing that the products would not be delivered. He should be held accountable!! Has this business shut down?? Been calling for the status of my order for over a month and calls going directly to voicemail. Either they closed, or the owner is not picking up. Either way, not good business etiquette. Jim has been a huge disappointment - quick to sell us the product, but no where to be found when checking in on status of delivery that we paid for."

"I had the same experience as the person who left the most recent one star review. We ordered a rug from this guy Jim and his company, along with another family member of mine. We paid for these rugs upfront. Both orders were placed in the first week of September and we were told that we would have the rugs in 4-6 weeks. We did not receive them obviously and still have not to this day. I was inquiring with Jim weekly for updates who had a different excuse every time (was out of office on a job, covid, family issues, etc). He continued to push the time frame back using an array of excuses and would never follow up with updates unless I inquired. I ended up calling the manufacturer who I was told was making the rugs, they had no orders placed from anyone named Jim or under his company name. The carpet manufacturer told me it would never take them over 4 weeks to make a complete custom rug leading me to believe that this guy Jim never even placed the orders. My last communication with him was on Dec. 27th 2023 when he said the rug was on a truck and would come to my house the next day. He has since cut off all communication with me and blocked my number. I am assuming this guy is out of business, but I highly recommend not using this company or dealing with this guy Jim for anything."

"I'm deeply disappointed with my experience at Alpha Carpet & Flooring, particularly with the owner, Jim. After engaging their services for a carpet installation and paying the required down payment, there has been no progress for over a month. My attempts to reach out to Jim for an explanation have been useless. Despite sending multiple text messages and seeking updates, I have received no response from Jim or anyone else at Alpha Carpet & Flooring. This lack of communication is not only unprofessional but also disrespectful to a paying customer. The failure to start the project or even provide updates reflects poorly on their commitment to customer service. I caution potential customers about the reliability of Alpha Carpet & Flooring under Jim's management. Their inability to uphold basic business standards has been a significant inconvenience and disappointment."

"I hope you take the time to read this, because Jim and Alpha Carpet/Flooring deserves the recognition. I cannot say enough great things about this company and that's primarily due to the owner, Jim. I purchased an older home requiring some updates to both carpeting and hardwood flooring - can I first say how much harder it is to find a contractor who will take care of both than I thought it would be? Ultimately, my husband and I spoke with 6 different contractors. Why did Jim stand out above the rest? Most everyone I spoke to took the attitude of "whatever you want, we will do" but I am not an expert and we really needed someone who would be patient to help talk through options. Everyone else made me feel so rushed and some even came off a bit annoyed when I did not know exactly what I was in the market for... Where all other contractors I spoke to limited our first phone call to 5 - 10 minutes, my first call with Jim was phenomenal and lasted about half an hour! He first asked what we were hoping for and ideas we had in mind, then he asked more probing questions to better understand our lifestyle to ensure that we were thinking about the right materials that would fit our needs and be sustainable. Throughout the process, I felt I was well taken care of...he never once came across taking advantage of our lack of knowledge of the process and was honest about all the good and the "bad". His overall communication is amazing. We were not living in our new home during the job and Jim gave me updates every day and sent me photos and videos. And I KNOW he had other clients...but I always felt like he only had time for us because his responsiveness was tremendous. Since we did carpet and unfinished flooring, Jim estimated the job would take 14 days before the hardwood floors would be safe for furniture... And that is the exact schedule they followed! I am so happy with the crew's work, but Jim's level of service really is what makes everything shine. And finally....we of course LOVE the new carpet and hardwood floors."
