Helen Brach Primate House
The Helen Brach Primate House, located at 2058-2156 North Cannon Drive in Chicago, Illinois, is a fascinating institution within the zoo that showcases the incredible diversity of primate species from around the world. With ten different species on display, including black howler monkeys and crowned lemurs, guests are able to get up close and personal with these amazing animals. Originally opened in 1927, the Primate House underwent a $2 million renovation in 1992, which transformed the interior exhibits into more naturalistic environments for the primates. Some exhibit spaces even house multiple species, providing a unique and educational experience for visitors.
