"Save 20 grand and go to your local community college for the same training. I did the welding program big waste of time and money, most instructors weren’t even very experienced in the trade. The only knowledgeable instructor in the welding program was Sam, you could tell the rest were just there for the paycheck and didn’t care if you learned or not."

"I successfully completed the automotive program in 2010. It was a waste of time and money. Definitely not enough hands on training. If you want to learn how to diagnose and repair vehicles, go-to your local community college for 1/5 of the price. I paid 24,000 for the whole training. If I had gone to my community college, I would have saved 20,000. Going to UTI would be the equivalent of going to a four year well known university to complete your basic classes. If you go to UTI, graduate and work on the field; you're going to meet techs who went to their community college getting the same pay as you."
"The recruiters will lie to you. First they state that you need to know nothing about automotive at all but in fact many of the instructors tell you that you need to have some sort of background knowledge. Furthermore, the recruiters tell you that you will learn useful information that will further you in the field. Later to find out their method of teaching is handing you a stack of papers and a book and and expecting you to learn while they babble on without explaining and ensuring everyone is understanding the material. I have noticed this school is more focused on getting the herd of sheep to "pass" and to get them any type of employment in the field to help boost their percentage of student employed by them in the field. The school is very much disappointing with their own instructors bad mouthing how the institution is ran. When I attended at least 3 instructors either quit or got fired. STAY AWAY!!!"
