Visitors can explore the historic Gretna Station and Caboose, walk the trails around the reservoir to Lake George and Balog Island, home to a colony of Purple Martins. The park also offers picnic shelters, baseball fields, restroom facilities, a roller hockey rink, and a sled hill. Due to construction, the picnic shelter is currently not available for rent. However, visitors can still enjoy the many recreational activities and facilities at Armstrong Park.
