Deerpath Park, located at 299 Onwentsia Road in Vernon Hills, Illinois, is a popular tourist attraction and park that focuses on conserving nature, supporting wellness, and inspiring leisure for all. One of the highlights of the park is Kids' Castle, a community playground construction project that was completed in 1997 with the help of local volunteers. The castle theme was maintained when it was renovated in 2016, with the addition of a large dragon play structure and rubber surfacing. Throughout the years, Deerpath Park has seen various expansions and improvements, including the addition of picnic shelters, tennis courts, softball fields, and playgrounds. In 2021, two tennis courts were replaced with six pickleball courts, adding to the recreational options available at the park.
