Arthur Murray Dance Studio of Glenview

"My husband and I have been dancing at this place for many years, and it has provided us with a lot of entertainment and many memorable moments. The studio had the floors redone in early 2022. It looks really good now. And the fun continues. Twice a year, there are so-called festival parties each Friday for about 6 weeks. Each party has a theme, and it is time to dress up. These parties are very popular, as everyone seems to love to dress up. Also twice a year, they have a showcase either in downtown Chicago or near the airport. A day full of dancing followed by a dinner and a show by some visiting celebrities, and some social dancing as well. Another fun event is called Newsome Twosome in a club usually somewhere in River North. As the name of the event indicates, you are supposed to dance with someone who you have not danced with before or a new dance/new choreography. There are group classes every night of the week. When you start, you go to the Newcomer class. It will teach you some basic moves in a variety of dances, you usually change partners. That way, you make some new friends. If you prefer just to dance with the partner you came with, that is ok as well. You will have a good time."

"My wife and I have been students for over 11 years, including the time when Mr. Bonev (below) was an instructor, not part of a wedding couple coming in for lessons. The staff is very generous with their time and energy, and nothing if not professional. And while they will talk to you about buying lessons, let's be realistic - they've got a business to run. As I said, 11 years. I wouldn't do anything I didn't enjoy for 11 minutes. I would not be surprised if we're still dancing there in another 11 years."

"My husband and I bought lessons donated by the Glenview Arthur Murray studio to a school auction. They changed my life and, as I celebrate my third anniversary of being a student, I can not say enough good things about the professionalism and love of dance that the staff of this studio bring to the experience. There might be cheaper lessons out there, but you get what you pay for and more like a fabulous supporting community of fellow students and teachers. Anyone reading this should also know that the review by Mr. Bonev below is untrue. He did not go to the studio for lessons but is a former employee which I can say based upon personal knowledge of his being a teacher during the time I have been with the studio."
