Operated by the Boise Parks and Recreation Department, it serves as a public ceremonial and meeting space as well as a popular tourist attraction. The Depot is also home to the beautiful Platt Gardens. Designed by New York architects, the Boise Depot opened in 1925 with much fanfare in the capital city.
