● Closed“Really lovely quaint village. Been here twice. Enjoyed some watercolour painting of the stone bridge. Very therapeutic. Enjoyed exploring the shops, crafts and Galleries. Bit odd seeing Highland cattle and silver fern souvenirs (?) Sad to witness shop lifting in a wonderful clothing shop off the main street. To that thieving young woman. Shame on you.”

● Closed“Strongly recommend this visit if you have the weather on your side. We spent about 2.5 to 3 hours here. Our highlights were the cafe, the food garden (there were a few full grown giant pumpkin), the conservatory. We got some great pics. We had a beautiful day and thoroughly enjoyed our time here”

● Closed“Absolutely brilliant museum, knowledgeable volunteers and top notch exhibits. Lots of detail on Mawson's expeditions to Antarctica and also the crew that accompanied him. Very much scientific discovery expeditions, not just flag planting. Do try and visit if you are in Hobart.”

● Closed“Good to walk around a maritime history in Tasmania. Not free admission, but good to time spent with a family if you are interested in Tasmania history. Clean, tidy, and well organized. Recommended!”

Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery
● Closed“So much bigger than I anticipated. My children spent time doing a hands on art project with an artist Takira and enjoyed themselves. It’s awesome to have an artist who is active, engaging, present, and also has work displayed at the same time. I particularly enjoyed the furniture and the natural history section. I could have spent much more time there! We parked in Dunn Parking area which is right next to the Museum.”
