ʻAiea Loop Trailhead
● ClosedThe ʻAiea Loop Trailhead is a popular park and tourist attraction located at 99-1849 Aiea Heights Drive in Aiea, Hawaii, United States. Visitors are advised to monitor local surf and weather reports before their visit. The 4.8-mile ʻAiea Loop Trail offers stunning views of the southern coastline of O‘ahu, including Pearl Harbor and Diamond Head. The trail features lemon eucalyptus trees, Norfolk Island pine trees, native koa and ohi‘a trees, and even remnants of a B-24 bomber from 1944. The hike is not strenuous but includes some uphill climbs, switchbacks, and a stream crossing. Allow about 2.5 to 3 hours for the hike and enjoy the beautiful plants and bird sounds along the way. The trailhead is located at the upper eastern end of the park, marked by parking lots, picnic pavilions, and restrooms. Follow the park road back to your car after completing the trail. To reach the trailhead, take H-1 to Moanalua Highway (Route 78) and then follow ‘Aiea Heights Drive for about 3 miles to the end of the road. Continue on the one-way park road to the trailhead.
