Located at 64-1550 Kamehameha Highway in Wahiawa, Hawaii, the Pineapple Express Train exit offers a unique and educational experience for visitors of all ages. Step aboard the fully narrated twenty-minute train tour and learn about the history of pineapple in Hawaii, including the story of James Drummond Dole and his agricultural empire that still stands today at Dole Plantation. As you journey through the stunning scenery of the North Shore, you'll be transported back in time to the 1870s with the vintage design of the 4-4-0 engine and four passenger cars. Tickets can be purchased on-site at the ticket booth, with ticket sales ending 30 minutes prior to closing time. The institution features a variety of trains, including the newest addition, The Ohana Express, built in China and operated with a Diesel Electric drive. The Lady Liberty train, a replica of a Mason Bogey 0-4-4T from the early 1900s, offers a glimpse into the past with its unique design for navigating hills and sharp curves. The Aloha Express, also built in China, features an 0-6-0 locomotive and three passenger cars for a comfortable ride through the beautiful Hawaiian landscape.
