Once lockdown eased I made an appointment for an eye test ,the test showed that I had cataracts in both eyes and another appointment was made for further tests the next day and the optician referred me to Gartnavel Hospital which I attended 4 weeks later for an assessment and 4 weeks later I had the cataract in my right eye removed and a lens fitted ,the next day on removing the dressings I could see better than I had in years both distance and reading.Roll on 4 weeks and I have just been back in for a test and looking like I will only need reading glasses once I have my left eye done .The whole experience has been great and unlike High st chains Simpsons want to improve your sight and not sell you a designer frames although they do have a great selection! Highly recommended.”
