"After two sessions we decided this firm wasn’t for us. We called, cancelled, and they are charging us again this week. Like many therapy groups, they are predatory. Such a shame. Take your money and time elsewhere, both are wasted here."
"I would not recommend Kenneth Trimm. I had only two sessions with him and both felt useless. Both times he was 15 minutes late and he took notes in the first session that was scheduled for an hour and he ended the session 15 minutes early. During the second session he asked me what I wanted to talk about. I assumed he would reference the notes he took from the first session. I responded it’s pretty much what we discussed in the first session.... his response was, “well if you think things are fine we can wrap up the sessions”......and that was the first thing he said after starting the second session late. There was no help at all and I didn’t understand if it was because of the color of my skin or if he just wasn’t interested in helping me. I knew then that I would not be back."
"I wouldn't recommend Jamilah Tetterton. She was very unprofessional, cold and rude in our latest meeting, which was to address an issue I had been seeing her for. Her new responses to this same exact issue that I addressed in the same exact way left me confused and honestly distressed. I've seen a couple of counselors, and we don't click with everyone, but I've never left therapy feeling so angry because of how the therapist treated me. I came into our session feeling decent and ready for assistance with some action steps. I left feeling horrible because of Jamilah's sudden change in behavior. She sighed loudly when I had to pick up my screaming 1-year-old, which was downright rude. I asked her directly for some steps for a plan of action to deal with my issue day to day, and she literally had nothing to offer. I was explicit in this request throughout our meeting. She also literally put words in my mouth throughout the session. Sometimes we don't always head everything, and that's fine, but she kept imposing these ideas and thoughts on me, saying I said them, when it had nothing to do with my issue and nothing to do with anything I said -- in the past or just then. I kept trying to get those action steps, and it was clear that something was off with her. She wouldn't answer my question and once asked me what was the point in some of the questions I posed for her, which I felt were valid. I was just wondering why this wasn't her response, which was negative, the first, second, third or fourth time we spoke. I was again really confused by her sudden change in behavior. She also rushed me off the call right at 3 after I had to ask her THREE times toward the end of our call about those steps. She kept changing the subject and what felt like attacking me. She was not gentle. She asked if I wanted to come back and said of course not. If this is their standard of professionalism, maybe it's best to find a new practice. If you need a therapist here, I again wouldn't recommend Jamilah. It seems like she was having a bad day and took it out on me (her huffing when I had to pick up my baby was evidence enough for me). She was also late to our call. I just had to get on here and leave a review of my horrible experience with her."
"Tana has been an absolutely amazing in helping me out, Highly recommended."
"I initially was scheduled for an appointment on a Tuesday, which would be my first appointment with Counseling Services of Atlanta. I was called a week prior to my appointment letting me know the counselor I was scheduled to meet with would not be at the office that day and we agreed to reschedule for Thursday. I was a little upset because I was trying to get in for help as soon as possible, but understood that it was just a scheduling mistake. I arrived at the office thirty minutes early Thursday, knowing I would have new patient paperwork to fill out. There was no check in area, just a waiting room with a sign telling you to fill out paperwork, which I saw as a little odd. Because of this I wasn't sure if I was in the right place. I had to ask one of the patients in the waiting room how I was supposed to check in. She let me know the counselor would be out to call me back at my appointment time. I waited until 1:00, which was the time we had rescheduled for, for the counselor to come out and call my name, however, when 1:00 came my therapist came out and called a different patient back. My heart dropped and I was confused, since there was no check in area I had no one to ask what was going on. I suffer from PTSD, so I began to panic a little, but was able to calm myself down by telling myself that maybe that patient had an emergency and someone will be out to check on me shortly. I waited in the waiting room until 1:45 without anyone coming out to check on me. I left the office in a very bad head space and had to be at work at 3:00. I had to leave work shortly after getting there due to having a panic attack over my experience at the counseling office. They have not reached out to me asking why I missed my appointment or if I was ok. They clearly do not care about their patients and I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND anyone to these services due to the lack of care they provided."
