His diverse experience spans from working with the University of Alabama football team at the SEC Championship to treating professional athletes across various sports, including baseball and wrestling. Originally from New Orleans, Dr. Shahien is a proud alumnus of the University of Virginia, where he was a Jefferson Scholar. He pursued his medical education at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine and earned a public health degree from Tulane University. His residency in Boston included invaluable experience at top institutions like Massachusetts General Hospital and Boston Children’s Hospital, under the mentorship of orthopedic trauma expert Dr. Paul Tornetta.

Dr. Cook specializes in treating a wide range of orthopedic injuries, from hand to shoulder and foot to hip, utilizing both arthroscopic and open surgical approaches. His comprehensive training includes robotic joint replacement and he is a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, and the Arthroscopy Association of North America.
