Savannah Technical College Peace Officer Academy, located at 190 Crossroads Parkway in Savannah, Georgia, is dedicated to providing students with the necessary skills and knowledge to become qualified peace officers in criminal justice careers. Graduates of the Basic Law Enforcement Certificate program are certified as Georgia Peace Officers by the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council (P.O.S.T.). The program, which includes certification costs, is held at the Crossroads Campus for 12 weeks, Monday through Thursday from 7AM to 5PM and Fridays from 7AM to noon. Students enrolled in the program may be eligible for funding through the HOPE Grant. Graduates of the program can transfer select courses towards an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Criminal Justice.
