Florida - Georgia Railway Heritage Museum, Inc.
Welcome to the Florida-Georgia Railway Heritage Museum, Inc., a treasure trove of history and adventure located at 440 South Lee Street, Kingsland, Georgia. Nestled just 2 miles west of I-95, our unique museum offers a captivating experience aboard one of America's oldest privately owned shortline railroads. Housed in a historic building originally constructed in 1915 as a sawmill factory and later transformed into a church, we are excited to share our progress as we renovate this space into a stunning event venue. Join us for an 80-minute round trip journey that departs from Kingsland Station. Our themed rides promise entertainment and relaxation as we traverse through charming neighborhoods, Kingsland's bustling commercial district, and picturesque Georgia marshlands, culminating at a working rail yard in St. Marys, Georgia, before returning to Kingsland. Each ride supports our mission to preserve railroad history through education, exhibits, and entertainment, as all proceeds and donations benefit our nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.
