Welcome to the Florida-Georgia Railway Heritage Museum, Inc., a treasure trove of history and adventure located at 440 South Lee Street, Kingsland, Georgia. Nestled just 2 miles west of I-95, our unique museum offers a captivating experience aboard one of America's oldest privately owned shortline railroads. Housed in a historic building originally constructed in 1915 as a sawmill factory and later transformed into a church, we are excited to share our progress as we renovate this space into a stunning event venue.
Join us for an 80-minute round trip journey that departs from Kingsland Station. Our themed rides promise entertainment and relaxation as we traverse through charming neighborhoods, Kingsland's bustling commercial district, and picturesque Georgia marshlands, culminating at a working rail yard in St. Marys, Georgia, before returning to Kingsland. Each ride supports our mission to preserve railroad history through education, exhibits, and entertainment, as all proceeds and donations benefit our nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.
Please plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to departure, as all sales are final with no refunds, and the train runs rain or shine. Our historic, open-air rail cars are featured in special excursions such as the Wild West Train Ride, Survivors Train (Zombie Train), Meet the Monsters, Cottontail Special, National Train Day, Stars on Track, and the Santa Special. During special events, they also serve as shuttles between the City of Kingsland Visitors Center and downtown Kingsland. While these rail cars offer a unique experience, please note they lack restroom facilities and are ADA inaccessible due to their historical nature.
As you enjoy your journey, be aware that staff photographers may capture images for promotional purposes. If you prefer not to have your likeness used, please inform a team member.

The building was clean, the pre-show entertainment before the train ride was interactive and funny. The train ride was about 1.5 hrs and it was a nice little tour through the town.
