Guerrero Mexican Restaurant

"I went here with a few friends and I ordered the carnitas dinner, my favorite Mexican dish. Instead of slow-cooked pulled pork, I was served dry, flavorless, pale meat, which appeared to be pork loin disguised as carnitas. The side dishes were ill-prepared too. The rice was unseasoned and flavorless and the beans were not even refried, just puréed beans. We ordered queso dip to share and all agreed that the flavor was off. Furthermore, I realized at the end of the meal that something else was missing, tortillas! No one at our table was served tortillas with our meals, even though the menu indicated that the dinners, at least the one I ordered, included them. Our server never even asked if we preferred corn or flour tortillas-an everyday question when ordering Mexican food-so who knows if she ever intended to bring us any. Between bland food and the mediocre service, this place is really off its game. There are way better Mexican restaurants in Pooler. I won’t be back at this one."

"I can honestly say this is the worst food I have ever eaten at any Mexican restaurant in Savannah ga!!! No flavor whatsoever and the carnitas were so dry and sad! The rice was bare and boring at best! It took the server 10 minutes to come take our drink order and they were not busy! Major disappointment and I will tell everyone I know to not waste the money"

"I ordered these tacos with cilantro only, and no onions. Obviously they have onions and no cilantro. Lunch ruined with no recourse. Plus no hot salsa was given per the menu. And these tacos are just not attractive or have barely any meat. I have tacos all the time. And this restaurant has the worst I’ve ever had. I won’t be back to this place. I recommend you don’t patronize them."

"Got to my hotel early so I had to find something to do until my room was ready. Decided to have lunch and felt like Mexican food. I found Guerrero on Google maps. Only 0.3 miles from where I was. Drove over to give it a try. I ordered a draft dos Equis with lemons. One of the waitresses brought chips and salsa for me. I ordered the combination of chalupa, chili rellenos, and enchilada with chicken. Everything was delicious. The chili relleno was a little spicy for me but tasted very good. All of the staff was very friendly and quick to deliver my food. I really like this place and may order more before I leave tomorrow to take home. The atmosphere was quite nice. Lots of tables and booths available. Nicely decorated which is hard to tell from the outside since the restaurant is located in a strip mall. I wasn't going to let that fool me and I'm glad I gave it a chance. I enjoyed the food immensely. The chalupa was wonderful. I see both good and bad reviews here. I can only assume that people have very different tastes. This food was pleasing to me."
