Welcome to Montgomery State Prison, an official facility of the State of Georgia, located at 650 Mount Vernon Alston Road, Mount Vernon, Georgia. Our mission is to ensure public safety by housing medium security and below general population offenders in a secure and efficient environment. The prison supports Correctional Industries and outside details, contributing to the community and state. Our facility consists of six dormitories, each with 64 beds, along with specialized isolation and segregation cells. In addition, we operate a fully equipped fire department with ten beds, enhancing safety within and around the prison. Unique to our facility is the inclusion of a Fire Station and an Egg Producing Plant, which is part of our commitment to the Food and Farm Division.
