"It's just been a few months since my daughter started her Bharatnatyam classes at Bharathakala Naatya Academy. We can already see her dancing has improved so much. She gets a different Akka teacher most of the time. But all are loving and kind so she never had issue with that. Overall, you can feel the vibe of deep passion for Bharatnatyam even as you enter the studio. Only one thing I had trouble with was communication. It has happened several times that we put our other work on hold so our daughter could attend her classes but there were no classes. It can be frustrating as we don't have any help for anything, and we need to run other errands too. I can understand if it's not possible to inform everyone individually... even a brief group message on Whatsapp could be so helpful."

"Any classical art form needs and demands mastery of the foundation. Be it music, ballet, Kathak or bharatanatyam.. Subha Akka recognizes and instills this in every child she teaches. I have seen the difference in children who have come to her from other dance schools in and out of Atlanta. Someone here mentioned something about $ per hour.. but what they don't see is the outcome of the dance form their child is learning. Taking online classes during the pandemic is not easy and add to that managing schedules of multiple children.. even in these challenging times,she has successfully taken all the classes..
