"I had two grandkids in Winnie the Pooh. It was a marvelous experience for both of them! Practice was twice a week. Both of them loved practice and performing. They said they would do it again! I’m sure they will. From a grandmother’s perspective this opportunity deserves more than five stars."

"There are not adequate words to express how special this experience was for my daughter. This was her first time performing in any type of play and all I can say is thank you so much to Shannon and Chris for cultivating the most beautiful environment for our youth to grow and learn. This was so fun and encouraging and we are the luckiest to have found you. Thank you again, we will be back!!"

"I am one to rarely leave reviews, however given that my experience was significantly below acceptable, I am feeling the need to provide feedback. It was important that my child have a positive experience with Off Broadway Children's Theatre, as this was her very first taste of theatre. Therefore, I personally made every effort to ignore several flaws and point out other aspects to her. However, when a conversation with the owners becomes obnoxiously loud, disrespectful and lacking mere professionalism, ignoring is no longer an option. On several performances, I've heard other parents express concern about show tickets not being available, for even their immediate family (let's say at least 2 tickets for each paying child). Although, I've always felt their system was not conducive nor fair to paying parents of children performing, this, as indicated, was one of the flaws, I chose to ignore, until , that system affected me and my family. During a recent show, I was out of the country for work, and just could not purchase in time. By the time I returned, of course all tickets were gone, and I noticed other families trying to figure out how to attend their child's performance. It is to note, life happens, and paying parents can't always quickly purchase tickets, Given this concern, I asked Chris/Shannon if there were any other alternative options they would consider, maybe having paying parents of performing children allotted 2 tickets up front and include that cost in their initial registration fee? Just an idea, to consider, I thought!!! However, Chris's loud response, tone, body language, and obvious disgust of the question, was evident by not only me, but the other parents listening. The exchange was shocking and extremely unprofessional. Confirming, that he could care less about the concerns of paying parents, he took it even further and said, "we don't do it that way, and you can go to another theatre", and then proceeded to name off other theaters. So, my recommendation to any parent who's spending their hard earned money at OBCT and also feel the stress of trying to secure show tickets, is to take Chris and Shannon's advice, and go elsewhere."

"My daughter has learned about all aspects of theater production from OBCT. It is family run, the owners truly care about the children, and the children are friendly and supportive...and quite talented. The fees for productions and classes are reasonable given the amount of time the children spend being taught. The space isn't fancy, but the experience is wonderful."

"This theatre is a child ( young adolescent and teenager) centric studio where each individual kid is celebrated for his/her unique talents and contributions. Chris Mayer ( owner, director) is adept at bringing out the best in children of all ages. While this is not a place where"everyone gets a trophy", this is definitely a place where your kids will feel important, valued and part of something because the directors have the knack to bring out the best in our kids. The kids are challenged and expected to give their best, and the theatre has supported/ produced numerous talented kids who have gone on to become (or are on their way to become) recognized and celebrated "local celebrities". Your children will form a family here and it will warm your heart!"
