"After years with a top notch dentist, I moved to Savannah and had to search for a new dentist. I chose Howard dental due to the overwhelming good reviews. When I booked my appointment I thought it was odd that they wouldn’t schedule my exam and cleaning the same visit. I’ve always had them both done the same visit, even at a new practice. But I went with it. Went for my first visit, and the dentist recommended me all sorts of treatments, mind you I take excellent care of my teeth. I figure I’d get a second opinion and in the meantime schedule my cleaning. They refused to do my cleaning until I followed up for all the other treatments they recommended with a specialist. One of the procedures the dentist specifically told me did not need to be done right away. However when I went to the receptionist to make my appointment she told me something completely different. I’m already overdue for a cleaning and shouldn’t have to go spend hundreds prior to receiving my free cleaning. I called the next day to see if they could just get me in for a cleaning, the receptionist said she would speak to the dentist and call me back. Never called me back. I’m realizing this is likely a ploy, getting a new patient in for an exam and then trying to upsell them with treatments. Needless to say I will be trying a different dentist."
"At 58 years of age, I have come across bad, average and great dentists. Dr. Emily is fantastic!!!! Juan the hygienist is thorough, gentle and meticulous. Alicia the dental assistant is kind, proficient and diligent. The rest of the staff is always pleasant and reliable. This is the only dental office I have ever been in where I receive excellent care as well as enjoy the visit!!!!"
