Low Country Counseling

"You will rarely get someone on the phone when you call, and you may or may not get a return call. I've had my appointment cancelled when the paperwork was not completed 2 days before my appointment - paperwork that was already completed during my intake assessment 3 weeks prior. After the cancellation, I had to wait another month to be seen. I was told several times by my therapist and by the receptionist that they would send me resources via email. They were NEVER sent. I currently have left a voicemail requesting a referral (for services they do not conduct) and for a prescription refill (should have been sent after my last medication management appointment). So far, no response to either request. If it works the same as my past experience, it'll take about 3 requests before they actually come through. Terrible, terrible, terrible place to try to get treatment. They just make it too hard."

"EDIT: Just an hour after posting this review, whereas the only two reviews before were a year apart, suddenly theres almost a dozen five star reviews. Consider if you want such a shady business in charge of your care. My partner and I had been searching for months for a therapist to help her with ptsd, severe depression, and anxiety disorder, and she had started seeing a therapist here. We had tried multiple outpatient programs, and were looking for a therapist for her to speak to until she could find a higher level of care elsewhere. A therapist here said they would see her until she could find care elsewhere, which was exactly what we were looking for. After the first appointment, though, her next appointment was cold cancelled. We tried calling multiple times, until we finally got a response back and were told they wouldn’t see her anymore, leaving her without any care. We were told she was disallowed from coming back. Her experience there was extremely unprofessional, and we were lied to."
