Children's Orthopaedics of Atlanta - Forsyth

"CHOA has completely lost its way. This is definitely not a benevolent non-profit... its a farce. The physical therapist charged $560/hr ($140/15 mins)! Now that they seem to have a monopoly on Children's services they are gouging patients. When we question the charges its " Thats what it is! Pay up or collections". Its sad that all pediatricians are referring us to CHOA when it has become a soulless entity. They dont tell you upfront what the cost will be and seem to charge whatever amount they want and you just have to pay it. I really hope we get alternatives to CHOA soon."

"We waited and hour past our appointment time to see the doctor. When he finally came in he began telling me there was nothing wrong with my son before he even looked at him. The doctor spent maybe 10 minutes with us. We then received an astronomical bill for a 30-44 min appointment. My email was never responded to. When I called I was told the billed time was all the time spent not just face to face time. When I asked what besides face to face time had been billed all I was told is he "probably" did this or that but there was no log of time that could confirm this. CHOA is a great hospital but when it comes to other services and especially their customer service and billing department they leave a lot to be desired."

"This is the most efficient doctor’s office I’ve ever been to. Brought my 3 year old with a spiral fracture on his tibia. Dr. Wallace Wilson is wonderful!! Super friendly, funny and very informative. The staff is also really friendly and attentive. Both appointments I had here, I was in and out in less than an hour (this includes having x-rays, talking with the nurses and doctor, putting on and removing casts, etc.). I even called with a question later on from home and a real person actually answered the phone and transferred me to a nurse who also answered the phone! Got my answer and was off the phone in less than 5 minutes."

He had us both laughing & at ease, while maintaining professionalism & credibility. He went above & beyond with bedside manner, as well as treatment (he made a referral for an entirely separate issue). If you are in need of a pediatric orthopedist, then I would highly recommend Dr. Wallace, without hesitation."
