Strandhill Caravan & Camping Park

● Open
, Strandhill F91 W540, Ireland

“Great location. Close to a shop en pubs and restaurants. The staff is very friendly and will go out of their way to accommodate guests. The surfing beach is very close by and at times there are great waves. The water was cold but not that cold for a wetsuit, which was great. It was end of August. The ablution blocks are brand new and very clean. We were very impressed. Our camp site was large enough for our XL tent and the lawn was in good condition. We shall definitely return next summer. Thanks to you all at Strandhill. We enjoyed our stay.”

Adventure Sligo

● Open
John Street, Sligo, Ireland

“We had an amazing canoe trip today with Graham. He totally made us feel comfortable and planned the entire trip around us. He is extremely knowledgeable about the area and experienced on the water. We saw a red stag, blue heron, and peregrine falcon. We had no real experience canoeing and Graham made us feel at ease on the water. Great day. Highly recommend booking a trip!”

Rosses Point Beach

● Open
, Rosses Point, Ireland

“Rosses point beach is lovely, with views of Benbulben and Knocknarea mountains. It's a safe beach for swimming and has rock pools which can be fun to look around with the kids. There is a camp site, yacht club, golf club, hotel, bars and restaurants and a small local shop. On sunny days you may find an ice cream truck and a coffee cart in the carpark of the beach. There is a lack of bins so be prepared to take any rubbish home with you.”

Keshcorran Caves

● Open
, County Sligo, Ireland

“The Keshcorran Caves hike is a must-do for anyone visiting the area. The climb may be short but it's quite steep, so be prepared for a bit of a workout. However, the views from the top are well worth the effort. The caves themselves are fascinating, with several to explore and they are suitable for all ages. The recent installation of a pathway directly to the caves has made the hike much easier and enjoyable. It's a great way to spend a morning or afternoon and you can take your time to explore the caves and take in the beautiful surroundings. Overall, a peaceful and enjoyable experience. Highly recommend!”

Luke's Bridge (start of Benbulbin walk)

● Open
, County Sligo, Ireland

“Start for an ascent of Benbulbin. Small area to park. Don’t leave belongings on view in your car. Short walk along path till you start going off road to get to the base of the mountain. Lots of sheep to see on the way and the river flowing under Luke’s Bridge is a nice photo opportunity.”

Killaspugbrone

● Open
, Strandhill, Ireland

“You have to walk there. It takes some time. Take that time. It is worth it. Not because of the church ruin, but because of the serenity of this place. Which is only disturbed from time to time by an airplane that starts or lands at the very nearby Sligo Airport. Take the walk at sundown, and you get the chance for spectacular pictures of Benbulben. Or just sit there and think about the universe, life, and all that stuff.”
