Owned by the private nonprofit Felburn Foundation, the park is leased to the state of Florida as part of the Cross Florida Greenway. The park features paved parking, picnic pavilions, potable water, and access to paved trails along the Cross Florida Barge Canal. Heading west from the park, visitors can enjoy the Withlacoochee Bay trail, which offers multi-use platforms for picnicking, fishing, and scenic views. The trail continues for 5 miles before reaching a pavilion overlooking the Gulf of Mexico.
