Reviews
"Lovely waterfront park with sand and grassy areas. Lots of wheelchair and stroller friendly pathways. Very dog friendly in all areas except the sandy places. If you plan on swimming, make sure to plan your visit around high tide, or it is way too shallow. The negative reviews are undeserved as people come to the keys expecting white sand beaches, but the keys are mostly rock and the surrounding waters are mostly shallow. This is not the fault of the park. The white sand beach here is man made... as are some of the others in the area. Park admission is free on weekdays, even in high season. Worth the visit if you like pretty parks."
"Nice park! Beach with safe swimming area. Boat ramp and dock, bathrooms, grills and picnic areas,as well as fishing locations. Was nice to see the fishing areas."
"There is not much of a beach here at this location. This is mainly a park that is connected to the ocean and you can bring your boat here to dock and undock and ride that around. The water is covered with sharp rocks which will hurt you if just jump into the water."
"this place is SO BAD. The “swimming” pond is NOT for swimming, it is so dirty the sand is like mud, the floor looks dead and there’s definitely bacteria. Definitely don’t go here if you’re looking for swimming / snorkeling. I tried swimming in the area next to the rocks and let me tell you it is not worth it I got a huge scar. It is pet friendly but it’s dangerous for dogs to eat sad (can cause poisoning/death) so it’s not worth it. If you just want a place to stop on your way to key west you can stop here for the playground and benches. Definitely NOT a beach though."
"Awesome playground and wonderful picnic area but the restrooms were not well kept at all. We love the boat ramp. We were hoping it was open a little longer because it was kinda of pricey but we #enjoyed our day and hope you do too!"
