"Great little sanctuary. Wheelchair accessible! The enclosures are well tended, and the informational placards are well made. Free Wi-Fi available to upload your photos too."
"June 2023 - So glad we decided to visit. Nice walkway with large, clean areas for bird rehabilitation & care. Informative signs explaining bird types, native area map and interesting facts. Free self guided tour with a donation."
"A great stop for people of all ages. It's very interesting to see all the birds close up. There are common backyard birds and some species you can only find in South Florida. Be aware: the turn-off is rather abrupt, and the road/ parking lot is cramped and made of gravel, with the sole exception of the handicap spot. The center is a small part of several acre preserve. It was a short trip but well worth the visit."
"Such a sweet little hidden gem. The Laura Quinn bird sanctuary is a nice little stop to get out and stretch your legs. There is a nice variety of wild birds that are being cared for and rehabbed by volunteers. All the enclosures are very well kept and maintained. There is also a lovely walkway that leads to a beautiful sandy beach. There is no cost to visit but there are some QR codes if you would like to donate to their facility. This is run by volunteers with good hearts who care about the Keys and it’s wildlife. Definitely recommend stopping!"
"An AMAZING stop on the Overseas Highway. It's free and you can see lots of different birds. The birds look like they are very well taken of. There's lots of information panels as well. There's also a boardwalk that takes you to a view of the ocean. This is honestly one of my favorite things that I've done in the keys. If you visit, please be sure to donate so they can keep doing what they're doing."
