This park is the oldest in Pinellas County and features majestic shade trees and a Native American mound built by the Tocobaga tribe, known as the Temple Mound. Unfortunately, the construction of a new playground at Philippe Park has been postponed, but the current playground remains open for visitors to enjoy. The park is open 7 days a week from 7 a.m. to sunset, except for the day after Thanksgiving and December 25 when the county parks are closed.
