In addition to offering swimming lessons, Aqua Aerobic classes, and programs by The Arthritis Foundation, the pool also provides ADA accommodations for all visitors. In 1986, heaters were installed to warm the water during the winter months, making Pine Island Community Pool the first in Lee County to offer such a feature. The facility's lifeguard staff are certified through the StarFish Aquatic Institute, and the learn-to-swim instructors are certified through the American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Program.
