Great play area, friendly and knowledgeable staff, great selection of everything. Nice wood tables with big soft chairs. Big upgrade over the classic plastic tables with folding chairs! Prices of product and singles is based off of TCGplayer so I am happy to buy here. MTG Commander, Yugioh (Both Modern and Edison format), Digimon and other card games are played. Plenty of product available for all of them! Modern Yugioh Thursdays and Saturday, Edison Yugioh Sunday, Digimon Fridays, MTG Commander whenever a pickup game gets going. The most important part for me is that the atmosphere of Kitchen Table Games is welcoming and comfortable. The vibe is great! People come in to have fun playing cards with other people. Francisco and Tyler are at the counter and do a great job making me feel welcome while doing buys, sales, tournaments and so on. I appreciate the customer service during especially busy times. You can also pick up some super rare cards! I came in one day and saw a first edition base set shadowless Blastoise. I worked with Tyler for a while and he spent a lot of time with me describing the condition, history of the card, what the cards current and future value is and more. Eventually I was comfortable enough to pick it up and now it is one of the grails of my collection. Frank was the one who got me back into Modern yugioh after I did not play for a long time. He helped me better understand how the wacky rules of yugioh work and what the meta was like. I started playing in the tournaments and had a great time reconnecting with other yugioh players who share my love of the card game I have been playing for years. Kitchen Table Games is my home away from home. Super happy this store is here!"

"Have a wide selection of cards, packs and accessories. However, as soon as you walk in your nose is filled to the brim with fruity vape and a serious lack of deodorant. The worst part though is the people that seem to work there. Everyone is SO aggressive for no reason. Cutting you off mid sentence when asking questions, and doing it with a pompous attitude for no reason at all. As a small business, you would think they would want to be friendly and welcoming, especially to people new to games. But instead, if you don't know everything, why are you in their store? REPLY: I have been to this store several times, and all with similar experiences. I don't want to say this particular instance was in regards to what was happening to me this time, as much as it was happening to my friend I just introduced to Magic and the store and brought him there. But I have had enough experiences as such and only continued to shop here with all of this because it was the closest store and the variety was beneficial to what I was looking for. The person that helped me today was fine. Don't want any I'll will pressed on them. But the person talking to my friend was....a lot. Now, I am not so sure it's worth it anymore."

"I've been here a few times to purchase digimon cards and card sleeves. I'm all for giving places multiple chances, and I've done just that. I won't be coming back again due to the severely overpriced boxes. A few months ago, I went to purchase a booster box that is originally priced at $35-40 at other shops and even Amazon. I purchased here at this store due to it being closer to me and I wanted the product immediately. The product ended up being over $75. I understand that there are taxes, but this is over the top. Aside from the prices, I agree with other customers/reviewers when it comes to service. I feel unwelcome and the atmosphere feels cold when conversing with employees about product availability and prices, I don't know if it's because I'm a woman, but I doubt that's the issue. A majority of other card shops I frequent are welcoming and provide excellent service. I recommend Shushu Cardshop (no taxes when paying with cash here is awesome), Titan, Phoenix Emporium, and Game-o-storus. I do hope that whoever reviews this feedback does not take this negatively. Edit: I believe you have me confused for a different customer, and it is wrong for you to blame me for something that I have not done. I have not entered this store in the past week, and I have not been to the store in the past month. Therefore, any sort of "recording" you have against me and my actions are false. I did not state my entry date for this reason. Also, those digimon tcg boxes you mentioned in your reply were none of which I purchased, and again it is another reason why I did not include the name of the product I purchased. You could not have known who I am or who I was unless you're searching for my credentials in your past transactions with customers. It is clear that you are making an excuse to save face and push the blame on your customers. I would never cut in line or speak over another person while they are busy. It is common courtesy to wait until they are available to speak to you."

"There are plenty of places to play Magic, Yugioh, and tabletop in Tampa Bay. But over the past 12 months of searching, Kitchen Table Games has been the only shop that I kept coming back to. The friendly atmosphere, the kind employees, and the tasteful decor make this one of the best places to spend your nerdy dollars in the area. And clearly, I'm not the only person who feels this way because they're regularly firing tournaments with 40+ people on weeknights. Folks love this shop so much that they hang out until the shopkeep literally turns out the lights. I've never seen a tighter-knit community around a store in my life, and I have to assume its because of the lovely folks behind the glass counter. Thanks for being my home away from home."
