The park features two playgrounds, a Veteran’s Wall honoring military service members, fountains, a water play area, a stage for events, a dog park, a large open lawn, and public parking. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful surroundings and pay tribute to the brave men and women who have served in the military by viewing the names on the Veteran’s Wall. Residents of Sunny Isles Beach who have served in the United States Military can have their names added to the wall by submitting a nomination application along with proof of honorable discharge and residency in the city.

Senator Gwen Margolis Park is a beautiful 2.84-acre park located at 17815 North Bay Road in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. This park offers a fenced-in leash-free dog area to the north, known as the Bone Zone, where dogs can roam freely. However, dogs must be on a leash until inside the designated area. Please note that dogs are not allowed in other areas of the park. The park was acquired with grant funding from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s “Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program.” It is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike to enjoy outdoor activities, picnics, and leisurely walks.
