Department of Physiological Sciences
The Department of Physiological Sciences, located at 1333 Center Drive in Gainesville, Florida, is part of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the university. Dawn Bowers
Dawn Bowers is a renowned Professor and clinical/research neuropsychologist at the University of Florida, located at 1600 Southwest Archer Road in Gainesville, Florida. She is the Director of the Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory at the Fixel Institute and neuropsychology director for the UF Movement Disorders and Neurorestoration program. Dr. Bowers is internationally recognized for her expertise in neurocognitive and emotion changes associated with age-related disorders such as Parkinson's disease, Essential Tremor, Alzheimer's disease, and other neurologic disorders. Her research utilizes various techniques including TMS, ERP, psychophysiology, and computational modeling. With over 225 peer-reviewed research articles and continuous funding from NIH and other foundations since 1981, Dr. Bowers is dedicated to training predoctoral and post-doctoral fellows in clinical and research settings.
