Letchworth-Love Mounds Archaeological State Park, located in Monticello, Florida, is a fascinating archaeological site that features Florida's tallest Native American ceremonial mound, constructed between 1,100 and 1,800 years ago. Visitors can explore the park's interpretive displays, bronze sculpture of the mound, and an interpretive trail that winds past smaller mounds. The park also offers picnicking, birding, and hiking opportunities. Please note that the boardwalk near the large mound is closed for repair starting July 7, 2023. Admission is $3 per vehicle, payable at the honor box. Wheelchair-accessible pavilion picnic areas and platform viewing areas are available, and guided tours can be arranged upon request.
