Courtyard by Marriott Miami Coral Gables

"I love Coral Gables and have been coming for decades. However, my usual destination was fully booked so had to scramble. An absolute find for location, cleanliness and value. Will be back."

"Very terrible place to stay. My family and I stayed here for 4 days for a wedding and the hotel staff woke us up at 1am telling us our reservation was cancelled. I showed him the charge on my credit card and he said I had to pay again so my money from the earlier charge would be refunded by the manager in the morning. Manager in the morning couldn’t do anything about duplicate charges so I called my credit card company and they said the location had two rooms booked under my name hence the multiple charges when I only stayed in one room. Ended up scamming me out of $700. Wouldn’t recommend the place to anyone."

"Location is ok, rooms are decent, the rest if the building is dated. One elevator not working. Rooms from the road sounds like the windows are open so if you dont like road noise youll never sleep. Beds are very soft - some may like that but terrible if you have back problems"

"I visited for a seminar on 11/11/23 and stayed 1 night. The good: nice rooms, comfortable bed. Coffee maker, mini fridge and microwave. Well lit desk and a sofa -bed Bathroom was well appointed and modern. Even had a nightlight (by sliding the light control all the way to low). Great staff, very friendly and helpfull. Meeting rooms were nice, great sound system, plenty of chairs and table space. Good projector and controller. Staff kept water full throughout the day. Less than good: One elevator out of service. Made for some long waits when busy and crowded elevator. There were 8 people with bags ahead of us so we couldn't get on until the third cycle. Bathrooms are nice but there needs to be a soap holder in the shower. I know its cheaper to supply liquid soap but not everyone likes to use that. One towel rack on the shower door. Problem is, when the door is open, the towel hits the toilet. Finally, I take exception to charging guests for parking. If someone is only attending a seminar, fine, a parking charge is appropriate. If I'm staying at the hotel, it should be included."

"Stayed there this past weekend. The hotel is in a nice location... that's about all it has going for it. The building is dated. The service staff seemed... utterly confused most of the time. From check-in to when we inquired about getting our sink / shower drains looked at... hard to explain but it didn't seem like anyone knew what was going on. The rooms were OK but not great. We wanted a king, they only had 2 queens... bathroom was TINY, the shower and sink both clogged with minimal use so had to take very short showers... also barn doors on the bathroom, who's idea was this? The real kicker was that on our checkout day, BOTH elevators were out of service. One was planned for "modernization" apparently, and the apparently just happened to quit at the same time? Pretty odd. They did have people helping to carry bags but that was just the last straw."
