Florida Medical Clinic - Urgent Care

"Go in there in the evening at around 5:30 on Feb 8. With my chest hurting to breathe in. I go to florida medical because all my records are on the system. I have a tendency of getting walking ammonia . I was seen by the nurse practitioner Nurse Kyle. The first aid checked me and did a flu swab. By that time my right lung was really hurting to breathe in. Then nurse Kyle came in as I was explaining my history . His comment was so you dont want me do any testing..not what I was saying. Then he came back and said I ha d the flu. I was still in window for the tamaflu so he gave me 4 prescriptions. Contagious for 4 days. I ask for a return to work note first he said I could still be contagious after the forth day. Note was seen in office on the 8th can return the 12th. My manager said it should be Tuesday. I still have 3 pills of tamaflu to take. 2 on Monday and one on tuesday. I get tuesday but not Mondey so now I have to call my regular dr. At fla. Medical and get this straighten out before they let me return. My husband had went up there to pick up note and would not change. I feel it's a error for sure."

"Went to the Urgent Care for covid symptoms and saw Mr. Luis Amat , I specifically told him that I needed a new refilled of Benzonatate 100mg I showed him the bottle thinking it would help. During that time I get a pharmacy notification which stated 200mg. I ask the nurse to have him return so I can asked him why he gave me a higher dosage than the one requested. Upon his return, I asked him why he gave me such a higher dosage. He stands up with his hands crossed and sarcastically says " what is the problem?" What difference does it make, its what I gave you" I found that his response was inappropriate and I was taken back by how rude he was. I replied "Im asking you why you gave me a higher dosage than what I requested ? you dont need to respond to me in that manner" He replied "I don't know what the big deal is, I gave you what I gave you". The question was not answered and is obvious that due to the lack of professionalism I will not be coming back. I will be also changing my providers. You would think they would want to keep patients with so many competitor's near by. Kindness goes a long way, and the only thing a patient needs when their feeling sick and in pain is empathy and respect."

"Went in with drainage and sore throat. The nurse ran swab in my nose, came back in about 12-15 minutes said no flu, someone will be in shortly. female nurse I suppose came in and said it's sinus drainage. I said but my throat is sore she said she would prescribe a throat spray. I picked up the prescription and it was a pill not a spray, but they said it was the same. I have been sick almost a week, complete missed diagnosis. I am 84 years old, I knew it was more than sinus drainage, probably Bronkidus which I have had before. Excuse my spelling."

"Had a pleasant experience here. Came here with hearing issues with one ear. Megan, one of the nurses, was exceptionally patient while helping with the ear wax removal. Would recommend this place."

"I am not sure why this place has so many horrible reviews. When I went for my son it wasn't full. Wait wasn't too bad maybe 30 minutes in the lobby but once we got back everything moved very quickly. The nurse practitioner was excellent our case was pretty easy. Everyone was nice and helpful. If I had to complain about something I would say the women who checks people out could be a little more polite. But I won't let that one staff effect my overall experience. I will be back. Thank you."
