The park itself is surrounded by over six acres of lush North Florida gardens filled with azaleas, camellias, palms, and other local flora. The park is open for tours and rental use for seminars, weddings, meetings, and receptions.

Lake Jackson Mounds State Park

The park features six of the seven known earthen temple mounds, with two open for public viewing. Visitors can explore the interpretive trail showcasing remnants of Florida's Territorial Period and early statehood, as well as the nature trail winding through a sandhill community with native trees and plants. Picnic tables and a pavilion are available for gatherings, with guided tours offered upon request. Wildlife viewing and bird-watching opportunities abound at Lake Jackson. Please note that the boardwalk to the large mound will be closed starting July 7, 2023. Admission is $3 per vehicle, payable via honor box with correct change required.
